Airport Security Checkpoint Screener Course
This is an airport pre-board passenger screening
course that conforms to the guidelines of the International
Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
This course is designed to bring screening officers up to
certification standard for screening passengers and their hand-carried items using a
number of different methods. It covers:
- Introduction and overview of screening duties
- Identifying the various types of threats and understanding appropriate actions
- The methods for passenger screening (metal detectors, physical search, etc.) and the correct practice for use
- Screening hand-carried items and practical use of x-ray screening and particle detection equipment
- X-ray interpretation training
- Course evaluation.
Set an individual training pace
This is a computer based training course (CBT) which means ultimate
flexibility and individuality. Each user has a personal login and
password and they can progress at their own pace; stopping
and starting as they wish. The course can be interrupted at
any time and resumed from the same point at a later date.
Learn, reinforce and measure
The passenger screening course is broken down into modules, each one having a
series of question and answer tests to reinforce learning and to measure attainment levels.
Ultimate flexibility
The course design allows for any element to be modified or removed and
even provides for new modules to be developed and included. This
ensures that you can revise the course to suit your organisations requirements
or even to respond to changes stipulated by relevant regulatory authorities.
Compatibility with leading x-ray equipment
This course includes a number of hands-on exercises to practice using the
x-ray machines required, such as Rapiscan, Smith-Heimann, L3 e.t.c
