RAF signs up for further 5-years
A long standing Smart Approach
client, the Royal Air Force (RAF), has recently announced that Smart
Approach has been awarded a 5 year maintenance and support contract to
meet the needs of their X-ray screeners.
The RAF training school, based in
the UK, is a
long-standing user of SmartSystem, Smart Approach’s world-leading CBT
x-ray simulation training package, to train their screeners.
Awarding a 5 year support contract is testament to their commitment to
ongoing training and recognition that SmartSystem is a training package
worth investing in.
Smart Approach launches
Rapiscan 600 interface
Smart Approach has responded
swiftly to the introduction of the new Rapiscan 600 x-ray machine with
the launch of a new interface for its SmartSystem CBT x-ray simulation
software.
Many of Smart Approach’s
customers have started using the Rapiscan 600 and have requested the
very latest threat images specifically for this x-ray machine in order
to ensure their screeners remain fully trained and up to date.

Smart Approach expand their
distributor network
Dutch based firm SeceurTronics is
the latest organisation to join the Smart Approach family of
distributors. Covering Holland
and the Dutch speaking parts of
Belgium, SeceurTronics are specialists
in intrusion detection.
They are particularly welcome as
they have quickly secured a major deal with security provider Trigion to
deliver X-ray security training to screeners at Amsterdam’s Schipol
airport – using SmartSystem, of course!
US Department of Homeland
Security choose web-based training software
The Department of Homeland
Security federal law enforcement training centre in the US has placed an order for the
recently launched SmartSystem V8. In this case the software is
being used in its web based capacity; however it can also be installed
in a networked classroom or on a standalone PC.
This revolutionary new software is
expected to change the face of screener training, particularly for
smaller organisations that do not wish to invest in a full-blown
traditional classroom environment. Organisations choosing such a web
based software product are likely to benefit from cost savings and
higher service levels.
